Charlotte, N.C. (August 10, 2007)  - Hosted by the Corps de Ballet, Cocktails for Costumes, will be an exciting evening of food, fun and dance to benefit North Carolina Dance Theatre and the creation of beautifully and professionally crafted costumes.

Did you know:

• $220 will provide one month’s supply of pointe shoes for a ballerina

• $2,000 will cover the cost of one Snow Queen’s costume in Nutcracker

• $28,000 will provide the entire company with one season’s supply of pointe shoes

• A single ticket for Cocktails for Costumes is less than the average cost of one pair of a ballerina’s pointe shoes!

Attendees will enjoy tours of the costume shop; a DJ and dancing; a silent auction, special drawings and door prizes. Carrabba’s Italian Grill will provide the food, and beer and wine will be available.

The Corps de Ballet, Inc. is a non-profit organization that supports North Carolina Dance Theatre. The Corps is comprised of volunteers with different occupations, ages and interests, who all have these things in common – a love of dance, a feeling of satisfaction from being of service to a deserving organization, and a desire to have fun!
