Student Rush

North Carolina Dance Theatre offers special pricing to high school and college students, as well as teachers and professors, who present a valid school ID. Student Rush pricing and availability varies by performance, so check below for details.

Advance Student Rush Tickets
Purchase your Student Rush Tickets prior to the night of the show. You may purchase two student rush tickets per ID. Tickets will NOT be mailed. Present a valid School ID at the Box Office the night of the performance to redeem your tickets. A limited number of advanced student rush tickets are available per performance, so buy early!

At Performance Student Rush Tickets
Purchase your Student Rush Tickets up to two hours prior to the performance start time. You may purchase one student rush ticket per ID. You must present a valid School ID at the Box Office. Student Rush tickets are while supplies last.

Opening Night Insiders

Join other young professionals at Dance Theatre performances through Opening Nigh Insiders, a group just for individuals 21-45 years of age. Network with others who love the arts and enjoy special benefits like ticket discounts, receptions and mingling with the dancers.

Take Open Division Classes
Your valid college student ID gets you a super-low rate of $10 per class!
NC Dance Theatre School of Dance's Open Division classes are ideal for beginners, former dancers wanting to  return to their passion and those looking to use dance-based fitness. Choose from classes like beginning or intermediate ballet, tap, jazz and modern. And because you're taking classes from the only school of dance in NC affiliated with a nationally recognized, professional ballet company, you'll have access to amazing teachers.

Become a Docent
Share your love and passion for the arts and dance
Ballet docents are a diverse group of volunteers who serve as community ambassadors, promoting the art form dance and the ballet. Docents attend brief training sessions to learn specific information about ballet, NC Dance Theatre’s company performances and dance education and outreach programs. Docents lead behind-the-scenes tours, and serve as ushers and greeters for select Dance Theatre educational theater and community outreach performances. Docents receive 20% discount on Dance Theatre performance tickets and invitations to Sneak Previews.
