Tim Belk

Background: Graduate of Williams College in Williamstown, Mass., with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, and received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1981

Professional/Career: Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Belk, Inc.

Interests/Hobbies: Serves on the board of Carolinas HealthCare System, At. Andrews School, The Orvis Company and Boy Scouts of America – Mecklenburg County Council. Elder at Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.

Jamie Dee

Hometown: Orange, CA

Seasons with NC Dance Theatre: 4

Jamie, a California native, received her training at Orange County Regional Ballet. After receiving the California Alliance for Arts Education’s 2000 Emerging Young Artist Award, she joined the American Repertory Ballet in New Jersey where she spent two seasons. Jamie accompanied Nai Ni Chen Dance Company on their 2002 China Tour and has been a guest artist with L.A. Chamber Dance. She danced for seven years with Ballet Met Columbus where she received the 2008 Violetta Boft Award. Some of her favorite roles include Juliet in David Nixon’s Romeo and Juliet, Odette in Nixon’s Swan Lake and Daisy in Jimmy Orrante’s world premiere of The Great Gatsby. She has had the pleasure of dancing works by such choreographers as George Balanchine, Dwight Rhoden, Twyla Tharp and Stanton Welch.
