Join NC Dance Theatre's Corps de Ballet
for Cocktails for Costumes

October 18, 2008

Charlotte, N.C. - Hosted by the Corps de Ballet, Cocktails for Costumes is an exciting evening of food, fun and dance benefiting North Carolina Dance Theatre and the creation of beautifully and professionally crafted costumes.

With tickets costing $50 per person in advance and $60 at the door, a ticket for Cocktails for Costumes is less than the average cost of one pair of pointe shoes for NC Dance Theatre’s ballerinas. “The Corps de Ballet was thrilled with the success of the inaugural Cocktails for Costumes event. Due to great support from the Corps members and the community, the event was a successful fundraiser for Dance Theatre and helped to shed light on the beautiful costumes used in productions,” said Marsha Wiggins, past president of Corps de Ballet.

Attendees of this year’s Cocktails for Costumes will enjoy tours of the costume shop where they can meet NC Dance Theatre’s costume director and witness the creation of costumes by Dance Theatre’s costume designers. Music will be provided by DJ Travis Dupree and Brixx Pizza, Encore Catering, Greek Isles and Mert’s Heart and Soul will provide the food. Beer and wine will be available, as well as the event’s signature drink, the Tutu-Tini.
