Kayleigh started dancing at age 11 at Pontecorvo Ballet studios in Dayton, OH, under the direction of Barbara Pontecorvo. She joined the studio’s pre-professional company, Gem City Ballet, in 2004 where she danced the Waltz Girl in George Balanchine’s Serenade and First Violin in Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco. In the summer of 2004, she attended Virginia School of the Arts and, during the summers from 2005 to 2008, studied at the School of American Ballet. Kayleigh received the Dancer Peer Award from Gem City Ballet in 2007. She was an apprentice with North Carolina Dance Theatre for the 2008-2009 Season.
