EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCES

North Carolina Dance Theatre offers two kinds of educational performance opportunities:

Lecture Demonstrations – NC Dance Theatre 2 comes to your school or public venue for an interactive performance
Theater Performances – Students visit to the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte for a main-stage production

Lecture Demonstrations

NC Dance Theatre 2 dancers come to your school or public venue and bring a magical performance to your gym, stage or multipurpose room! This 60-minute narrated performance features excerpts from Dance Theatre’s current classic and contemporary ballets. Audience participation and a question and answer session make this an exciting program for your students!

I am interested in bringing my students to the performance. What do I do now

1.  Get permission from your school.
2.  Collect a count of people attending.  Call NC Dance Theatre (704.372.0101 x110) to see if those seats are available.
3.  Order your buses 3-4 weeks in advance.
4.  Immediately collect funds from your students and chaperones.
5.  Make your reservation and payment online, by mail or over the phone. Indicate if you will be paying by check, credit card or purchase order. Immediately send full payment to North Carolina Dance Theatre, Attention, Education and Outreach Department.
6.  Receive a confirmation of your full payment and complete reservation.
7.  Use your Pointers Guide, a performance resource for educators. Prepare your students for the performance by talking about audience etiquette.
