Children’s Theme Camps are appropriate for both boys and girls. Each camp runs for one week, Monday through Friday, at Charlotte Country Day School. See camps below for specific details on age levels, dates and tuition.

DANCE CAMP A: CINDERELLA AND THE PRINCE
Ages 3-4
June 14-18
Monday- Friday 9-11 AM
Join us as we learn about Cinderella, her charming Prince, the ugly stepsisters and the magical fairy godmother. Set to the beautiful music of Prokofiev, campers experience this fairy tale through movement, dramatic play, music, video and crafts. As a special treat, a NC Dance Theatre dancer visits the camp as Cinderella to perform and autograph Cinderella posters. The week’s activities culminate in a grand finale performance as the Cinderella campers are re-united with their Prince Charming.
DANCE CAMP B: THE LITTLE MERMAID
Ages 5-6
June 21-25
Monday- Friday 9 AM - NOON
Come join us under the sea as we follow the Little Mermaid on her many adventures on land and in the sea. Campers enjoy this fairy tale through dance, dramatic play, music, video, and crafts. As a special treat, a NC Dance Theatre dancer visits the camp as the Little Mermaid to perform and autograph Little Mermaid Posters. The camp culminates in a grand finale dance performance of this wonderful children’s tale. Join us on a magical dance adventure.
DANCE CAMP C: THE NUTCRACKER SUITE
Ages 3-4
July 12-16
Monday- Friday 9 AM -NOON
Join us as we follow Clara and her Nutcracker Prince as they journey through the Land of the Sweets, in one of the most famous and beloved ballets of all time. Set to the beautiful music of Tchaikovsky, campers enjoy this fairy tale through movement, dramatic play, music, video, and crafts. As a special treat, a NC Dance theatre dancer visits the camp as the Sugar Plum Fairy to perform a solo variation and autograph Nutcracker posters. The camp culminates in a grand finale performance as the Claras dance with their Nutcracker Prince.
