Benjamin began his training at age 7. Later he began to dance with The Tallahassee Ballet under the direction of Rick McCullough. Benjamin has attended many programs on full scholarship, including Orlando Ballet’s summer intensive, American Ballet Theatre’s Orange County, California summer intensive and Chautauqua Institution School of Dance. He has received recognition from Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux and Mark Diamond for his choreography, Preludes, which was performed in the Chautauqua Institution’s amphitheater. Some of Benjamin’s repertoire includes Balanchine’s Donizetti Variations and Serenade (staged by Patricia McBride), Fernando Bujones’ Swan Lake (pas de sept), and Paquita (pas de trois).
